This extraordinary pair of carved concrete griffon gargoyles looks as though they were lifted straight from the towers of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Each guardian features a powerful winged form with a long birdlike face and taloned hands clutching a heraldic shield, designed to inspire awe and protect the home they once adorned.
Salvaged from a historic Hancock Park estate in Los Angeles, these are all-original 1920s–30s architectural elements that rarely—if ever—surface on the market.
