Rene Malaval was a welder by trade and after the war initiated the design of perhaps some of Frances most iconic industrial design. Malaval was inspired by the scrap metal remaining after the war production, principally the perforated steel from ammunition factories where the stamped hole patterns were the direct result of a bi product of bullet production. This table is in exceptional original condition, structurally very sound and with the original paint. Knee height clearance 66cm. Our workshop has cleaned and serviced the table. Workshop Report: Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
