This cabinet has a simple design but is beautifully painted with floral decorations in the panels, the rest of the cabinet is painted in a blue-green color. This specimen is still in clean condition for its age, other than some user marks befitting its age. The inside of the cabinet is currently fitted with a rod, however shelf supports are present, so the cabinet can easily be fitted with shelves. The original working lock with key is also there, also the cabinet can be disassembled in two parts for transportation. It used to be customary to give bridal furniture like this as a gift to the couple at a wedding. This furniture was afterwards placed on the farm in a showroom that was only rarely used for high visits or special occasions. So a beautiful and decorative piece of history. This specimen is from southern Germany (Franconia). 187cm high, 152cm wide, 58cm deep. See less
