He began exhibiting in corsica in the 1930s before moving to paris in 1938 to study at the école des beaux-arts under jean dupas. After world war ii, he won several academic awards, including the prestigious premier grand prix de rome in 1946 for le sacrifice de mithra. He then spent six years at the villa medici in rome, focusing on murals and stained glass. Fabri-canti represented france at the 1950 international exhibition of sacred art and later exhibited widely in switzerland and france. A major retrospective was held in nice in 1959. His work, spanning sacred themes, landscapes, and urban scenes, gained popularity among collectors in the 1960s and 1970s, especially in switzerland and the u.s. He is particularly remembered in corsica for his coastal and fishing scenes. Fabri-canti passed away in bernay in 1994, leaving a lasting mark on 20th-century french art.
