Large blue ceramic planter with a Japanese-style design.
The Bretby sunburst logo is found on the base and bottom of the pot, and is numbered 364A.
Bretby is an English manufacturer founded in 1882 by Henry Tooth and William Ault; their collaboration ended in 1887.
In 1884, they won a gold medal at the London World's Fair and created their 'sunburst' logo.
Good overall condition, with some traces of oxidation (interior), some firing defects (on the glaze), and small chips on the base (around the rim, where the pot sits).
