Young took … Read more This is a unique double, side-by-side, also know as a Diptych media painting by outsider artist (American, 1943-2020). Young took found material, primarily by use of recycled paper and painted with house paint, on each panel. He then used silver duck tape to frame it. He signed each painting in the upper right. And the entire painting has been framed in a dark wood molding in a reset manner or shadow box style. (See images showing the depth of the image inside the frame).

This work of art was acquired directly from the artist in 1991 at his studio in Wynwood/Overtown area of Miami, Florida.

Young’s art has been featured in many one man shows. There are at least 22 museums across the country that feature his paintings. Plus, Young is featured in numerous books and documentary films. This work of art would be an excellent addition to any collector or individual who appreciates outsider/folk art. See less
