Decorative Inlay & Marquetry: The tabletop displays beautiful geometric and star-patterned inlays as well as a central chessboard. This type of intricate veneered work is commonly associated with skilled European or American workshops from the Victorian era or earlier.

Carved Pedestal Base & Legs: The elaborately carved base and legs, with floral motifs and scrollwork, suggest influences from Victorian and Rococo Revival styles.

Dimensions: About 30in in diameter — with a height to the table’s surface of roughly 29in -- which is standard for game tables.

Multi-purpose—used for chess/checkers and sometimes cards or other parlor games. Perhaps a game of NIM for those mathematically inclined!

This game table was donated to be sold to generate funds to support refugee resettlement in and near Santa Clara County.
