An expressive, abstract depiction of a seated male figure, painted in the mid-20th century by artist Alice Denson. Incredible warm, earthy palette of browns, rust reds, and blacks dominate this monochromatic composition. The figure’s angular silhouette and faceless profile evoke introspection, making it a striking focal point for a gallery wall. This original oil painting on stretched canvas is presented in its original, artist-made dark slat wood frame. The paint has beautiful dimension and impasto texture. Signed “Denson” in the lower right-hand corner.
This piece (inclusive of frame) measures 30.5” tall, 22.5” wide, and 1.5” deep.
