This is one of the famous Maison Baguès parrot two light wall sconces. The parrot is the symbol of the Maison Baguès, where it began to appear in its work from the 1920s. This pristine example is executed in fine metalwork with cut crystal and gold leaf.
This example is late 20th- or early 21st century and has a provenance from Blanche Field, the renowned lighting dealer and lampshade atelier. As with most products of Maison Baguès, there is no marking. If you compare it to the Maison Baguès catalog, however, it is a precise match should you wish to verify its authenticity.
