The … Read more Unique piece of great aesthetic strength, made in ceramic mosaic trencadís on a sculptural frame of marked three-dimensional curvatures. The frame is not flat, but rises with sculptural and sinuous volume, creating a dynamic play of light and shadow.

Among the trencadis stand out cylindrical glass inlays in bright red tones, authentic vitreous "balls" that provide intense reflections and turn the frame into an even more expressive and unique composition.

The lines are reminiscent of zoomorphic and fantastic forms, with these glass eyes that evoke imaginary creatures. The work is part of the Catalan modernist revival of the 70s and 80s, with a clear influence of the Gaudí tradition and experimental Mediterranean design.
This mirror is a unique piece, with no known parallel in the current market, which transcends the functional to become a sculptural piece of design: craftsmanship, art and architecture merged into a decorative object with a singular character.
