A decorative pendant lamp manufactured by the VEB Beleuchtungsglaskombinat Görlitz in the German Democratic Republic in the 1970s.
The lampshade, in the form of a large, hemispherical sphere, is made of white glass decorated with hand-painted floral motifs in shades of orange and red. The distinctive surface of the lampshade is coated with satin paint, creating a delicate "suede" effect, further emphasizing the lamp's unique character.
This is an example of typical East German design from the 1970s – combining functionality with decorative appeal. The lamp will fit perfectly into retro, vintage, and mid-century modern interiors.
