During the 1920's and 1930's, the Persian and Caucasian rugs were so popular and the weavers in Persia and Caucasus could not keep up with the orders from the western merchants. Thus, Some of the merchants decided to make the Persian and Caucasian design in Europe, some started in Germany which is called Tetex and some were made in Austria with another technique. The Germans mostly did geometric designs such as Heriz, Serapi, Some Bokhara, and Caucasians, but the ones were made in Austria had a floral design, most were taken from Persian Tabriz and Mahal patterns. Without being bias It must admit that Europeans did better in color combination than Persians or other weavers in the Caucasus. The one that I am offering here, could be one of the most beautiful Tetex that I have ever seen. If you wanted to have an Vintage area rug geometric pattern but working around the budget this would be the one one. The pattern & color combination of this Tetex get 10+ from the scale of 1 to 10, ten being best. If you wanted to get a similar rug to this one, the only thing that come close, it would be Persian Heriz then you have tp spend a few thousand dollars. but here by spending a very little, you could bring an exact look to your home or office because I am offering this magnificent pieces at $1,299.00. It measures 6'-6" x 9'-10"and is in excellent condition. See less
