Originating from the Brie region, east of Paris, Briard furniture is celebrated for its solid oak craftsmanship, sober lines, and subtle carved details, reflecting the rural refinement of 18th and 19th century France.
The front features two drawers with delicate carvings, including a central stylized flower, and two paneled doors with moulded and scalloped designs. The scalloped lower crossbar, decorated with a carved rosette, adds a discreet touch of ornamentation typical of Briard furniture.
Inside, the cabinet offers a generous storage capacity with a full-width shelf, perfect for storing tableware, linens, or decorative pieces. The original iron locks and hardware complete the authenticity of this rare find.
