It has a straight front with five drawers, the second of which has a drop-down lid that reveals a richly compartmentalised interior with small side drawers and central niches. The joinery work is revealed in the discreet decorative details, such as the framed friezes, the corners with turned columns and the turned ball feet, giving the whole a sober but distinctive presence.
