Beautiful Footed Amberia Heavy Vintage Glass Diamond Point Pattern Pressed Glass Covered Candy Dish
This early mid century American candy dish is in excellent used condition, no noticed chips, cracks or scratches uopon inspection. Glass is stunning with its reflecting beauty and deep amber color. The color apears not to have any fading after over 70 years of existence. No fogging or clouding is seen as well. The lid has a faceted rounded topper and fits securely and smoothly in the base. This piece is pressed glass as seen with the marked seams. The diamond points are however sharp almost like cut glass. This decorative and sought after bowl is very heavy, not at all thin glass.
If you look closely at some if the pictures you will see some bubbles from the manufacturing process, common in vintage glass. They may add value, but are not considered a defect.
This hard to find glassware wil make for a beautiful display on an entryway table or as a centerpiece for any occasion, it is sure to impress.
After research, I have been unable to find this piece. I find imilar patterns for Westmoreland some as Indiana Glass. Additional most pieces I found to be similar were either much smaller or not in this color. I am finding amber glass to be harder to find, especially in this condition and age.
Please note, there us no maker mark on this piece
