The building in the image is the recognizable silhouette of the Stockholm City Hall (Stadshuset), a famous landmark in Stockholm, home of the Nobel prize celebrations, with its prominent tower topped by the golden Three Crowns. The artist captured the expansive feel of the light of the Nordic sky reflecting in the iconic harbour waterfront on Kungsholmen island, facing Riddarfjärden.

Mid-Century original by Swedish schoolboy, unsigned.
