Because I can't resist original paintings, I snatched this floral painting up from a friend of mine. Part of the appeal was the peaceful still life, the lovely color palette, and the age of the painting itself. I enjoy rotating my collection, so although it resided on the walls inside my home, it's time for this fabulous work to find a new place.
The colors are deep yet soothing, and the painting seems to be done on a hard board. The frame is wood with gold paint, and the back of the frame is marked "Bear Book Co., Staunton and Waynesboro, VA."

In my opinion, these features add to the charm of the piece. The back of the paper seems to have spots, and there is aged tape added to the back of the frame, as shown in the photos. less
