It is … Read more This colorful, abstract painting is so interesting that I notice something different every time I look at it. It is dated 2013 and signed by the artist, Pam Piper. The title is “Helga‘s scarf“ and what looks to be a stack of books has a scarf draped over it and two vases in front. This piece will definitely add a pop of color into your space. It is gallery wrapped, meaning that it doesn’t have a frame and the artwork extends all the way around to the back where the canvas is stapled to its frame underneath. It’s such a lovely piece!

Here’s a bit about the artist:
Pam Piper came from a family of artists, so it was only natural that she would develop an interest in painting. Around 1966, she took an art class from the Famous Artists School of Art in Westport, Connecticut, where she began exploring oil painting.

After obtaining an associate degree in business administration from N.H. College, Pam went on to work in various fields, including real estate, restaurant management, and selling life insurance and annuities. But her passion for art never waned, and upon retiring from business in her fifties, she took up painting again, studying with notable artists.

Now living in North Carolina, Pam is a member of the Trade Alley Arts Gallery in Hickory, where she showcases her work in oil, watercolor, and acrylic mediums. Her artistic journey, fueled by a family legacy of creativity, has been a lifelong pursuit, blending her business acumen with her love for the visual arts. See less
