It is signed and dated by the artist, J Zuur, 1963. I purchased this from a woman who purchased it from his son in Virginia—the artist was from the Netherlands. I know it sounds a bit whisper-down-the-lane-esque, but the woman I bought this (and other pieces) from documented each work's story so beautifully. This scene is of a Dutch farm, and what I love most is the almost unnoticed reflection of the buildings in the water. So well done! The colors are stunning, and it's painted on canvas. It's in beautiful condition, although the frame does have a few chips around the edges. See less
