However, because this artist (J Zuur) was from the Netherlands, it could be a different European country. Wherever your mind takes you, this painting with the lovely aqua lake, terracotta-roofed homes, and lush landscape is sure to be a beautiful focal point in your home. I purchased this painting from an older woman who knew the artist's son, who lives in Virginia. There is a date on the piece, but I can't quite make it out. I have another painting of Zurr's dated from the early '60s, so this date looks like it could start with a 5 (possibly during the 1950s). It's oil on board and framed. There is a bit of wear and tear (especially on the corners of the frame where there are small chips), but it's a good piece with integrity. See less
