Nature through the Mirror Nude and with a Whirlwind Style of Childe Hassam
Exquisite watercolor on card stock in the style of Childe Hassam by American Impressionist Wilhelmina (Minnie) Olson Uhl (American, 19th- 20th C). Oakland artist Minnie Olson Uhl. Flourished during the first quarter of the 20th century. A woman is standing in a natural setting with hills and forest behind her, she holds a mirror while a whirlwind of nature flows about her. A small bird is entrance by her beauty and flutters nearby. Perhaps a symbolist example of the Mother Earth romanticism prevalent in the Art Nouveau era in American art.
