Middle of a Read - Original Abstract Expressionist on Canvas
Abstract expressionist figurative composition of a nude woman by California artist Harald "Harry" Dry Schmidt (American, 1933-1979). Bright, bold colors are used to make up the figure, with a semi- textured appeal. The woman appears nude, with colors of yellow, blue and purple making up her body. She is holding a book in her left hand. Harald was an eclectic San Francisco Abstract and Outsider artist from 1960-1990.
Signed "Dryschmidt" lower right.
Signed and dated on verso: "Dryschmidt '72"
