This ceiling or wall light is from glashütte limburg and was manufactured in germany in the 1960s.
this model was designed by finnish designer helena tynell, who became known for her characteristic glass structures with a sculptural effect. This light consists of a glass cover with a honeycomb-like relief structure in a bubble-glass look, creating a vibrant play of light.
the rectangular shape with rounded corners is functional yet decorative and can be mounted both horizontally and vertically. The glass structure is typical of tynell's signature, which emphasizes organic forms and a play of light and reflection.
the light source is supported by a solid metal socket, which is embossed with "limburg" on the underside and bears a partially preserved manufacturer's plate. The black support base allows for secure wall or ceiling mounting. Thanks to its compact design, the lamp is suitable for hallways, bathrooms, and mid-century-style living rooms, or as a stylish accent in modern interiors.
condition: the lamp is in good vintage condition with slight signs of wear on the metal socket and support base. The glass is undamaged and clear, and the electrical connection is functional. The original socket and the preserved nameplate attest to its authenticity.
