One scene shows a scholar’s studio with books and writing brushes; the other features a lady holding a pipa amid autumn foliage.
Both works are signed in black ink 衛東 (Wei Dong) with two red artist’s seals, and are mounted on silk brocade. The gongbi technique is known for its meticulous brushwork, and the detail here—from hair ornaments to brocade robe patterns—shows fine studio craftsmanship. It
