This is a set of 4 antique dining chairs by Heywood and Brothers for Wakefield from early 1900s. They are extremely rare and the only others we found like them were barstools. The chairs are old worn and weathered and absolutely fabulous!!!
They are dark wood and have a unique design with an bentwood armrest with an overall height of 37” inches. Each chair is 20 inches in depth with a seat depth of 18.5 inches and a seat height of 18 inches. The width is 20”. These chairs were manufactured in early 1900s and would make a stylish addition to any dining room.
They do need to be refinished and restored to their former glory. They are solid construction with no wiggles but two of them have openings on the seams that need to be glued and clamped. These chairs if restored would be a rare and fabulous set of dining chairs that would last a life time.
