An exceptional 18th-century firing glass with a terraced foot dating to c1760. It has an ogee bowl engraved with the masonic compass, ruler, plumb line and ladder. Sits on a double series opaque twist stem consisting of a pair of multi-ply spirals outside a pair of spiral tapes. Sits on a terraced firing foot.
Its is very unusual to get a thicker firing foot with is also terraced.

Excellent, no chips, cracks, or restoration. Air Bubble in foot as shown.
