Elegant 1960s Italian-made globe bar on a stand, measuring approximately 107 cm in height and 72 cm in diameter.
This decorative object combines refinement and functionality, echoing the style of antique terrestrial globes while concealing a bar inside. The sphere opens into two hemispheres, revealing an interior adorned with zodiacal figures in the style of 16th-century celestial maps. The interior compartment is designed to hold several bottles and glasses, with custom-cut wooden supports lined with green felt for a secure hold.
The globe rests on a turned base with four varnished wooden legs, connected by a scrolled brace that reinforces the overall stability. The antique map printed on the globe, with its sepia tones and engravings of ships and sea monsters, evokes the great explorations of the golden age of cartography.
It is in very good overall condition.
