Crafted from solid walnut with richly figured burled walnut panels, the piece is framed by full-height architectural columns and surmounted by a boldly molded cornice.

The central beveled mirror — a period-appropriate replacement with deep edge cut — offers clarity and elegance, flanked by the original turned coat and hat hooks. Below, the original black marble slab rests above a single drawer fitted with a turned wood pull and decorative brass escutcheon. The base retains both original cast-iron drip pans, rare in surviving examples, designed to protect the wood from wet umbrellas.

Finish and patina are consistent with careful preservation, displaying warm, deep tones and crisp carved details. The marble is free from cracks, the veneer is intact, and all structural elements remain sound.
