The lamp’s sculptural, aerodynamic form and mirror-polished finish give it a distinctly futuristic yet elegant presence—both a functional light source and a striking conversation piece.

This particular example has been expertly restored. The glass diffuser and the electronic on/off mechanism have been replaced with original Flos components, ensuring full functionality and authenticity. The Ara’s light is activated through a signature gesture: tilt the top horn downward to switch it on; raise it up to switch it off—a beautifully tactile and intuitive interaction.
