This bust is glazed white with light blue glazed clothing and stands on a red velvet pedestal. John the Baptist is the patron saint of Florence and considered an example of self-control and humility. The bust is unmarked. It is approximately circa 1900. The base measures 5 cm high, 30 cm wide, and 17 cm deep (the velvet is worn).
