Kamprad liked this design so much, that in 1963 it was available in all ikea stores as the mtp series. And for a reason, it’s a beautiful example of mid-century scandinavian design. Please note that it wasn’t until 1963 that ikea’s first branch outside sweden opened. It was norway that got the honor. The first branch in denmark only came in 1969! like i said…it’s a rare piece.
