This painting is a dark interpretation of an untitled winter landscape painting by Josip Generalić. The composition features:

- A central figure being pulled by two oxen

- A woman gathering firewood at left

- A man harvesting branches with a ladder

- A snow-dusted village along the horizon

While clearly inspired by Generalić's winter scenes, it exhibits the individual hand of its maker through its particular brushwork and compositional choices.
