This moonlit harbor scene captures two boats resting on reflective night waters, their silhouettes framed against the soft glow of a moon obscured by clouds. The work is presented in its original period frame - a weathered chestnut specimen with gilt detailing, complemented by a linen matte with gold metal inset trim. Signed in the lower left corner and bearing the original Newman Galleries sticker en verso, this nocturne exemplifies early 20th century tonal painting reinterpreted through an Expressionist lens.
