Made by Neresheimer and imported to England by Berthold Muller.

(Berthold Muller & Son was an important English house that imported and sold high-level Hanau silver from the workshop of Ludwig Neresheimer and Co.)

In the form of a seated pig. The head is a removable lid.

With Berthold Muller hallmarks to the right shoulder and Neresheimer hallmarks to the pig's derriere.

Simply wonderful antique figural silver!

Overall Condition:
It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.

Condition Details:
There is a noticeable dent to the pig's left shoulder. Otherwise, there is some light edge wear, some light dings and indentations here and there, some fine and light surface scratches, and other signs of light wear consistent with age.

With English hallmarks to the right shoulder with lion passant for Sterling / 3 wheatsheafs and a sword for Chester / Q for 1899 / F. Marked to the base with a butterfly / additional hallmark / a crown over a fleur de lis / BM for Berthold Muller.

Hallmarked for sterling silver fineness.
