The painting depicts Saint Stephen, recognizable by his attributes, the palm frond and the bloodied stone, both symbols of his martyrdom; He is depicted young, beardless and wearing the deacon's dalmatic. The painting can be traced back to a school in the Umbrian area active in the last quarter of the 17th century. The painting, recently restored, is in excellent condition.
