A large and very fine original seascape painting in its original hand carved gilt wood frame.
This large work of art is painted on canvas and has recently been cleaned to display its delightful details, circa 1890.

About the Artist:
Alfred Couturaud (1864-1922) is a painter from the Charentes, engaged in orders very early as an abbot. He devoted himself completely to painting from 1889, when he opened a gallery in Pontaillac where he taught painting and remained active throughout his lifetime.
Painting seascapes and landscapes primarily bursting with life.
