Rare signed first edition of Live Dog / Evil God by acclaimed Native American artist Fritz Scholder (1937–2005). This limited edition artist book is one of only 50 copies produced, featuring Scholder’s provocative text and haunting imagery.
Written in Munich, Germany in 1991, with images completed in 1992, the work includes both printed and handwritten text alongside lithographic images created from Scholder’s original cliché-verre prints. The cliché-verres were printed in the Kallitype process by James Hajicek and reproduced in duotone lithography by Fabe Litho Ltd., Tucson, Arizona.
Published by Nazraeli Press in Munich, this edition features:
