The portrait is framed by an inscription in galician that reads: “mudei de pel, mudei de mundo, mudei” (“i changed my skin, i changed my world, i changed”), a circular phrase that reinforces the idea of ongoing transformation—physical, emotional, and geographic. Executed in acrylic and metallic pigments on a 26 cm wooden panel, this piece belongs to the artist's ongoing currencies series, which uses the symbolic form of the coin to reflect on migration, identity, and the arbitrary nature of value.
