Originates from 'History of the voyages and discoveries in the South Seas undertaken by order of His Great Britannic Majesty, and executed by Commodore Byron, Captain Wallis, Captain Carteret and Captain Cook in the Dolphin, the Swallow, and the Endeavour successively.'
