Galaxy art is a mixed media wall sculpture by vera vizzi that fuses astronomy-inspired painting with tactile lunar relief. Created with foam clay, acrylic and enamel on a circular 30 cm ø fir wood panel, the composition presents a cratered moon surface supporting a solitary miniature astronaut. Above, a vibrant night sky unfolds in shifting tones of violet, blue and turquoise, scattered with constellations and cosmic dust. “the colors of dreams light up when the light of the world fades.” with this poetic line, vizzi situates the work as a reflection on wonder, solitude and the luminosity of imagination.
