An antique set of eight silver plate fish knives and forks from the 19th century. The hallmarks show they were manufactured by Lee & Wigfull in Sheffield and assayed at Birmingham hence the anchor sign. Note the etched fish on the knives and forks.
Lee and Wigfull were manufacturing silversmiths, electro platers and Britannia metal smiths as well as spoon, fork and knife manufacturers. The company was founded in 1871.
They were based at John Street Works and Charlotte Street Works, Sheffield, England.
