An iconic piece of Italian postmodern design, the Shogun wall lamp was created in the 1980s by renowned Swiss architect and designer Mario Botta for Artemide, one of Italy’s most celebrated lighting manufacturers.
This vintage wall or ceiling lamp is constructed entirely from metal, painted in a refined white finish. Its standout feature is the double adjustable diffuser, formed from curved, perforated metal sheets.
These distinctive shades soften and sculpt the emitted light, creating a delicate interplay of illumination and shadow. On each side of the diffuser are metal handles that allow for easy repositioning.
The lamp’s structure is geometric and clean: a square-sectioned body supports the diffuser, while the round wall mount secures the lamp in place. The Artemide and Botta logos are imprinted on the wall attachment, confirming the authenticity of the piece.
