This rare 'Ateljee' suite—comprising a sectional sofa and armchair—was designed by renowned Finnish designer Yrjö Kukkapuro for Haimi around 1965. Characterised by a clean, natural, and modernist aesthetic, the suite features bold lines and angular shapes, with a strong architectural presence.

The black leather cushions are framed by beautifully figured oak veneer, offering a refined contrast of texture and tone. Substantial and well-crafted, the backrest cushions are gently angled for comfort and rest on their original Pirelli rubber webbing, supported by a tubular black metal frame. Both pieces sit on elegant circular legs, giving the set a light, balanced look.

A distinctive feature is the way the leather curves around the wooden frame—both a visual highlight and a tactile enhancement. The suite is timeless in design and proportion, making it an excellent fit for traditional, modernist, or contemporary interiors.

Condition:
