There’s something magnetic about these lamps—equal parts brutalist cool and sculptural refinement. Designed by Stewart Ross James for Hansen Lighting in the 1970s, these capture the quiet drama of mid-century modernism while giving you just enough texture to keep it interesting.
The solid brass base is a study in proportion and patina: lean verticality interrupted by a distinct ridge, all finished in a luminous verdigris that softens the silhouette with an aged elegance. That hue? Not just aesthetic—verdigris is the product of time, air, and chemical interaction, meaning no two patinas age alike. It’s the vintage equivalent of a designer fingerprint.
