Vintage Art Deco serving plate and four individual plates, made by Myott Son & Co. in Staffordshire, England. Sweet yellow, red, and orange transferware flowers and hand-painted carmine red edges look lovely against the creamy white china background. Attractive octagonal shape which was very popular during the Art Deco style era, as were floral patterns. The pattern is "Beverly 2161". This set can be used for display, or used to serve food or snacks such as sandwiches, brownies, petits fours, cut up fruit, sushi, cookies, or slices of cake.
This Myott pattern seems to be rather rare as I could not find many instances of it online.
Tray measures 12 inches by 6 inches (30 centimeters by 15 centimeters).
Each plate is 6 inches by 6 inches (15 centimeters by 15 centimeters).

No utensil scratches on porcelain or transfer design. Edge paint is not worn at all. Tray has some crazing of glaze on top surface (not noticeable unless you scrutinize it directly under light), but plates are not crazed at all. This plate set does not look as if it were used much at all. Originally owned by a family relative who took good care of her possessions. less
