A biographical sketch of Rex Whistler, a British artist, who painted murals and society portraits, and designed theatrical costumes, with examples of his work. Written by his brother, Sir Alan Charles Laurence Whistler, a British glass engraver and poet who was the first recipient of the King's Gold Medal for Poetry. With an inscription and drawing to the front endpaper by Christopher Fry, an English poet and playwright considered a major force in theatre during the 1940s and 1950s.
