The backrest is … Read more Four Empire mahogany chairs, upholstered in gold damask on red silk, with seats and backrests, all French. The backrest is finely adorned with exquisite gilded bronze appliqués and Napoleonic motifs such as palmettes, imperial crowns, and arrows. The square-section saber-shaped rear legs are carved with a zoomorphic motif, while the front legs are cabriole-shaped.

Elegantly and solidly crafted, these four living room or dining room chairs were made in the early 1900s and are in excellent condition. They were restored by our workshop, shellac-polished, and upholstered in fine French fabric. They originate from the furnishings of a private residence in Milan. See less
