Sourced from the scenic Loire Valley, this unique piece combines rustic elegance with practical design. The sturdy wrought iron base features a beautifully twisted and scrolled design, while the upper portion holds a striking ashtray.
The ashtray itself is a distinctive feature, with a decorative black leather-look band adorned with
intricate motifs, and a polished metal top and base. Below the ashtray, the wrought iron is cleverly shaped into a rack for holding your favorite books or magazines, making this a perfect and stylish addition to any sitting area, study, or smoking lounge.
This piece stands at 25’’, with a width of 12.5 x 12.5 inches. It displays the minor flaws consistent with its age and history,
including a lovely patina on the wrought iron base and some loss of color on the motifs of the leather-look band, all of which contribute to its authentic vintage character. The metal basket inside the ashtray shows some rust, and the piece would benefit from a good cleaning to bring out its full beauty. We believe this piece dates to the 1940s.
