Vintage Brass Repoussé (Hammered Metal) English Magazine Rack
Repoussé is a metalworking technique in which a malleable metal is shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief.
This nice English magazine rack is made of wood with repoussé brass on the front side depicting a village scene of cottage and church in the background and coach with horses in the foreground. The ends have repoussé brass with an abstract pattern.. It is in very nice vintage condition with normal signs of age and use and with some patination.
