Van Teal is a family-owned decorative lighting manufacturer and importer, founded in 1974 by Hivo Van Teal. After fleeing Havana, Cuba, Van Teal established a small 600-square-foot studio in Miami, where he began creating sculptures. A furniture representative recognized the potential of Van Teal's work and exhibited it in Miami Beach. Just two short years after the company was founded, in 1976 Van Teal opened its first showroom in North Carolina. Eventually Van Teal expanded from sculptures to include table lamps, chandeliers, floor lamps, wall sconces, decorative accessories, and more recently, accent tables and wall art. Today, this third-generation family company is known for its unique designs, especially those incorporating colorful acrylics, and has a history of creating functional works of art.

Offered here is a beautiful contemporary lucite/acrylic table lamp with shade. The body and finial are made of a solid lucite/acrylic with a satin finish in a two-tone brown, with a golden honey amber in the middle and an ombre fade to the top and bottom to a rich dark brown; the base and "frame" have an artistically applied finish that perfectly looks like brushed brass or bronze. When the light shines through this piece, it is absolutely stunning - has the look and feel of satin glass. Shade has a pattern or horizontal lines on a satiny fabric in colors of muted olive green and gold.
Measurements: Stands about 25 inches tall up to the top of the socket, and about 32.5 inches tall up to the top of the finial. Base measures 7 3/8" square. Shade measures about 15" in diameter and stands about 10" tall.
No bulb included.
No damage or unusual wear on the lamp or shade. Electrical works. Absolutely lovely.
This piece is a weighty work of art! It weighs more than 12 pounds (before the box and packing material). The shade will be shipped separately.
